The Yard House traces its roots back to the vision of its founder, Indira Prashant - An accomplished
chemical engineer from BITS Pilani and a gold medallist from XLRI Jamshedpur.

Her passion for design and home decor, helped her recognize the crucial role of table linen in home furnishing. The arrival of her daughters, marked the onset of messy tables and protection of these surfaces became a necessity. However, her aim extended beyond this and she envisioned elevating the visual appeal of dining spaces—the social heart of any home.

Indira's passion for indigenous prints and textile art served as her inspiration, providing the ideal platform for her artistic expression. After a successful career in marketing with esteemed
companies such as Colgate-Palmolive and Flipkart, she identified a significant gap in the market—one that resonated with her unmet needs and desires.

This realization fuelled her determination to create a much-needed product that combined functionality with aesthetic beauty. Thus, she embarked on the journey to bring her vision to life through The Yard House.
