Ours are around 40 × 40 cm, which is standard for dinner napkins - large enough to fold properly and sit across a lap, without overwhelming a place setting.

A simple fold works for everyday meals - in half, then half again, laid to the left of the plate or across it. For dinners, a loose roll through a napkin ring, or a flat rectangle under the cutlery, both look considered without much effort.

100% cotton, in woven, chambray, striped and solid designs. Machine washable at a normal setting, and they soften with use rather than wearing out.
