Customer Spotlight: Meet Dr. Geeta Setia

This month, we're thrilled to feature Dr. Geeta Setia, whose thoughtfully styled home and beautiful dining table instantly caught our eye. We loved getting to know the person behind the gorgeous table scapes, so we asked her a few questions about her styling journey, hosting, and her favourite Yard House pieces.

About Dr. Geeta Setia

TYH: Tell us a little about yourself.

Dr. Geeta: "I'm a doctor by profession - a paediatric anaesthesiologist - but a beauty lover and beauty seeker by soul. Aesthetics have always been an essential part of me. I like things clean, organised and pleasing to the eyes. Wherever I've lived - different houses, hostels, different states and even another country - my room or home has always had this beautiful vibe of its own."

Her Table Styling Journey

TYH: How did you first get interested in table styling?

Dr. Geeta: "It all started when I bought my own dining table! I began with table runners and placemats, and slowly added table covers.

Later, after adopting two dogs, I realised that regular table covers weren't working for me. That's when I came across Yard House on Instagram.

I did quite a bit of research because I wanted something that was cotton, hand block printed, thicker than regular table covers and easy to clean. I was so happy to find all of that in one brand.

My first purchase was the Forest Pine Table Cover and matching placemats for my six-seater dining table. I loved them so much that today I own six table covers, four sets of placemats, an apron, pot holders, coasters - and I still have many more on my wishlist!"

Decorating for Everyday Living

TYH: What do you enjoy most about hosting family and friends?

Dr. Geeta: "I'm actually not someone who decorates the house only when guests are coming over. I keep my home looking this way because I enjoy the décor myself.

When family and friends do visit, everything is already set up, so there's much less to stress about. I simply get to enjoy their company."

Her Styling Philosophy

TYH: Is there a colour palette or theme you particularly like?

Dr. Geeta: "I don't really follow one colour palette. Instead, I like to match my table linen with my sofa covers, rugs and other furnishings so everything complements each other.

Whenever I change one part of the room, I enjoy mixing and matching the pieces I already have at home to create a fresh look."

Keeping Things Fresh

TYH: When do you change your table setting?

Dr. Geeta: "I usually change my table setting every three to four weeks. Since Yard House products are so easy to clean, they hardly get dirty with everyday use, which makes it easy to keep them looking fresh."

Her Favourite Yard House Piece

TYH: What's your favourite Yard House piece that you own, and why?

Dr. Geeta: "My favourite has to be the Forest Pine Table Cover. It's so soothing to my eyes, and I absolutely love that it's hand block printed."

We absolutely loved hearing Dr. Geeta's story and seeing how she has made table styling a part of her everyday life - not just for special occasions, but for herself.
