The Galentine's Table Checklist: Because your girl gang > Any box of chocolates

This Valentine's, we're setting the table for a different kind of love - the kind that shows up unannounced, stays until your cheeks hurt from laughing, and always makes you feel like the main character in your own story. No pressure to be perfect - just good food, and friends who've seen you at your absolute worst and somehow love you more for it.

This year, we're choosing Galentine's. Because while romantic love gets all the greeting cards and chocolate-covered strawberries, your girls deserve their own table. Let's talk about what you actually need to create a Galentine's setup that feels as magical as the friendships you're celebrating.

1. The Foundation: Start With a Colour That Tells a Story

We will begin with our Summer Rose table cover - This print carries a breezy, sun-kissed energy - bold rose bunches blooming in vibrant pinks and fresh greens. Up close, the delicate paisley all-over pattern adds sophistication, depth and texture- the way the best friendships do. It's feminine without being fussy - exactly the balance a Galentine's table needs.

Pink, after all, is the colour of effortless joy. And isn't that what this day is about?

2. The accent layers - Woven Moss Green Runner, Placemats and Pot Holder -

Once the Summer Rose table cover sets the tone, the woven moss green accents come in - A quiet grounding force - the kind that makes everything feel instantly calmer and more intentional.

The woven moss green runner down the center - in lush green, creates a beautiful contrast against the pink florals, pulling the setup into a space that feels earthy, balanced, and alive - like a garden table waiting for stories to unfold.

Then comes the Woven Moss Green Scalloped Placemats. The scalloped edges feel playful and welcoming - not overly styled, just thoughtfully beautiful. Their woven texture adds depth you can feel with your fingertips, bringing a cosy, handcrafted warmth that encourages people to sit down, relax, and stay a little longer.

One of our favourite elements is the woven moss green potholder - a piece that feels just as good to look at as it does to use. Before the food arrives, it adds a rich layer of texture and color. And once the snacks come in, it naturally steps into its practical role - protecting the table while holding warm dishes and sweet treats with ease.

3. Napkins That Tie Everything Together -

Then comes the sage mirage napkins - a soft, dreamy shade that complements the moss green without competing. They connect the greens across the setup and make every plate setting feel complete.

4. A Centrepiece That Feels Alive -

Your Galentine's table centerpiece should be as unapologetically beautiful as the women sitting around it. We created ours with a vase overflowing with pink and dark pink roses mixed with baby's breath.

Pink roses specifically symbolize appreciation, joy, and gratitude - literally the Galentine's trifecta. The baby's breath adds airiness and romance, like the kind of conversation that flows effortlessly when you're with your people.

We have added some brass candlesticks holding red candles. The warm glow creates an intimacy that overhead lighting simply cannot match. It says, "We're staying a while."

5. Snacks That Spark Conversations -

Instead of a formal spread, keep the food playful and easy - maybe a simple cake at the centre, macarons, and bowls of fresh fruits that everyone can keep reaching for. The idea is effortless sharing - leaning across the table, laughing with full mouths, and someone inevitably claiming the last macaron.

And remember - you’re the next judge. You get to decide what shows up on your table. Kombucha, endless cups of tea, wine, champagne, homemade snacks -the choices are endless. Pick what feels right for your people, and if it makes everyone stay a little longer and reach for one more bite, you’ve done it perfectly

Valentine’s is often about two people. Galentine’s is about a chosen family. It’s the friend who knows your coffee order by heart, the one who calls you out and holds you together, the one who laughs at the same ridiculous things you do. A Galentine’s table isn’t meant to impress - it’s meant to hold stories, confessions, and inside jokes that make your stomach hurt from laughing.
